1. Introduction

Welcome to Proportio ("we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application ("the App"). Proportio is a body measurement and fitness tracking app that integrates with Apple Health (HealthKit) to help you monitor your physical progress.

By using Proportio, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

Proportio is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our services:

• Body Measurements: Data you manually enter, such as waist, chest, hip, arm, and other body circumference measurements.
• Apple Health Data: With your explicit permission, we read and write body measurement data from and to Apple Health (HealthKit). This may include body mass, height, body fat percentage, and other measurement types you choose to sync. See Section 3 for details.
• Goals & Preferences: Target measurements and fitness goals you set within the App.
• Usage Data: Anonymous, aggregated information about how you interact with the App (e.g., feature usage frequency) to help us improve the user experience. This data is not linked to your identity or health information.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us for support.

3. Apple Health (HealthKit) Integration

Proportio integrates with Apple Health using the HealthKit framework. This integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit consent.

What we read from Apple Health:

• Body measurements (e.g., body mass, height, body fat percentage, lean body mass)
• Other health metrics you authorize for syncing

What we write to Apple Health:

• Body measurement records you log within Proportio

HealthKit data usage restrictions:

• Data obtained through HealthKit is used solely to provide health and fitness features within the App.
• HealthKit data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data brokering purposes.
• HealthKit data is never sold to third parties.
• HealthKit data is never used to serve targeted advertisements.
• HealthKit data is not shared with third parties except as described in Section 6.

You can grant or revoke Proportio's access to specific Apple Health data types at any time through Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices on your iOS device.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect exclusively for the following purposes:

• Displaying your body measurement history and progress trends
• Calculating body composition insights and proportions
• Tracking progress toward your fitness goals
• Syncing measurement data with Apple Health (with your permission)
• Improving app performance and user experience through anonymous usage analytics

We do not use your health or fitness data for any purpose unrelated to providing you with the App's health and fitness functionality.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored and protected as follows:

• On-Device Storage: All body measurement data and health records are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. We do not transmit your health data to external servers.
• iCloud Sync: If you enable iCloud, your data may be synced across your devices through your personal iCloud account. This sync is managed by Apple and protected by Apple's security infrastructure. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
• HealthKit Data: Data stored in Apple Health is encrypted by Apple and protected by your device passcode. When your device is locked, HealthKit data is encrypted and inaccessible.
• No Server Storage: We do not operate servers that store your personal health data. Your measurement data never leaves your device or personal iCloud account.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal or health data to anyone. Your data may only be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Apple Health: When you grant permission, measurement data is shared with Apple Health on your device. This data remains on your device and under your control.
• Advertising: The App may display advertisements served by third-party ad networks (e.g., Google AdMob). These ad services may collect anonymous device information for ad delivery, but they never receive any HealthKit data, body measurements, or health information from Proportio.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal processes.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your measurement data is stored on your device for as long as you use the App. You have full control over your data:

• Delete Individual Records: You can delete any measurement record directly within the App at any time.
• Delete All Data: Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data from your device.
• Apple Health Data: Data written to Apple Health can be managed and deleted through the Apple Health app. Revoking Proportio's access does not automatically delete previously written data from Apple Health.
• iCloud Data: If using iCloud sync, you can manage and delete synced data through your iCloud settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Proportio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: View all your stored measurements within the App at any time.
• Correction: Edit or update any measurement record within the App.
• Deletion: Delete any or all of your data as described in Section 7.
• Consent Withdrawal: Revoke Apple Health access at any time through your device settings without affecting the App's core functionality.
• Portability: Your data is available through Apple Health, which allows you to share it with other apps and services of your choosing.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
